About HMR

Health Management Resources (which later simply became ‘HMR’), was founded in 1983 by a passionate group of psychologists, researchers, and clinicians who wanted to trade academia for the chance to make a meaningful difference in peoples’ lives. And since the beginning, our mission has been the same—to improve health through weight loss and help more people achieve that goal for themselves with a simple program, real support, and convenient, delicious food. Using HMR foods, people can lose weight quickly and consistently, and with the structure and support of the HMR program, they learn how to make sustainable lifestyle changes to experience transformational change with their health and the quality of their lives. The program was first offered exclusively in hospitals nationwide. For the past 20 years, it has also been made available direct to consumers as HMR at Home. And outside of the more structured meal plans, HMR foods are also used as convenient tools for long-term weight management.
