**Rustic Solid Wooden Signs for Home Décor and Garden Spaces** Our Products are handmade from repurposed and recycled wood. THE NEW DIRECTION CRAFTERS STORY: In 2006, I worked for New Direction Farm, a non-profit therapeutic boarding school for teenagers, most of whom were being raised by single mothers. No student was turned away because of an inability to pay. In those days staff and students worked together to create inspirational and whimsical hand painted signs in the farm's woodshop which were sold at local shops. In 2015, the leadership at ND Farm believed they could better serve our community by refocusing their services toward extensively working with the single mothers. Ultimately, my position along with the farm’s wood and craft shop programs ended and New Direction Crafters, a for-profit business, was born. My husband and I now run the business together from our own farm in Western NC. 10% of our proceeds continue to benefit the work of newdirectionmustardseed.com, a 501c3 organization providing assistance to single mothers and their children in the mountains of western NC. One of the greatest rewards of running ND Crafters these past years has been the friendships we’ve developed with the seasoned shop owners who carry our products.
