About Suede&Co

Suede&Co is a collection of bright and beautiful leather bags and accessories handmade by the sea on the Kentish coast. Dee Maxwell started Suede&Co in 2015 using a collection of leathers she had collected over the years. After her initial stock ran out, she decided to take Suede&Co to the next level. After finding a local leather supplier, who still supplies Suede&Co years later, she created the first proper collection and the brand took off. Over the years the brand has taken many incarnations, but the values have stayed the same; lasting quality, minimalist designs and always keep things fun! Focusing on bright fun colours, Dee likes to flip the perception of what quality leather products can look like. It's not just about shades of brown and beige hard tooled bags and belts, leather can also be delicate pinks or bright yellows, they can be soft flexible pouches that only get better with use. Every product is made by hand in Dee's studio in sunny Margate, long walks on the beach and chilly sea swims keep things fresh for sure! We hope you find something you love in our shop.
