Happy the Birthday Bird ® is the new magical birthday tradition for kids launched during COVID to bring joy to children on their special day.   We are a family of 1st time toy developers and producers based in North Carolina.  Happy the Birthday Bird is a veteran-owned, woman-owned, black-owned brand.  Backstory: Birthdays are a big deal, especially for children. It’s a milestone. It’s a level up the ladder. In our household, birthdays are like Christmas.  My son's, (our Kid CEO), excitement and birthday countdown begins about a month before his big day and doesn't end until the celebration - no matter how big or small - is over.  His enthusiasm and excitement on his 8th birthday is what sparked the idea for Happy the Birthday Bird. We thought it would be exciting for kids to have a tradition where a special, magical character visits each year to help with the birthday countdown and celebration. We searched to find out if a tradition similar to Elf on the Shelf® existed for birthdays; however, we did not find what we were searching for.  This led to the creation of Happy the Birthday Bird, a positive, magical tradition, one that we hope will become a timeless birthday tradition.  It’s the perfect way to bring joy to children and help them feel extra special and loved on their birthday. Just as kids anticipate the arrival of the Elf during Christmas, we want children to anticipate the arrival of Happy around their Birthday.   Read their story
