About Objects in Clay

I discovered pottery in my early teens when I took a series of wheel throwing classes after school. It was love at first sight when I saw clay transformed into a thing of beauty. I signed up for classes the following day. I crashed and burned quickly and I thought that was the end of that. It took a natural disaster and a year away from home and my norm that brought me back to clay. I have stuck with it since. What started off as obsession for ceramics, turned into a hobby, then into a small side hustle, to what now is a lifestyle. Objects in Clay was born when I took a chance in the local retail and wholesale world. My work is focused on hand-built art vessels and jewelry. I'm inspired by everyday still life, ancient civilization, architecture, and nature. My jewelry line is called Wearable Art. It's the love child of my 2 passions: ceramics and jewelry. I create my jewelry from the finest porcelain I can find, form them by hand, and kiln fired. My homewares are carefully curated to fit artistically in people's homes. Every piece is designed and made from my home studio in New Orleans. Read their story
