When EVO founder Neto Dissenha inherited his family forestry business in União da Vitoria, Brazil at 27-years old, he promised his grandfather that he would protect the land for future generations. Neto kept his word. He set aside 72% of the family’s 32,000 hectares for conservation (more than 3X the Brazilian government requirement), added a water reclamation program, and began working on a way to reuse the sawdust produced by the company’s mills each year.
