SHOP SHEEP by JG SWITZER designs, manufactures, and markets felted wool home goods and pet items available through wholesale and direct channels. We are proud to source our wool locally. Currently, 90% of JG SWITZER wool is sourced from within our local Fibershed, defined as within a 100-mile radius of our workshop in West Sonoma County, CA, just one hour North of San Francisco. PAINTING WITH WOOL. To create the artisan felted wool fabric you’ll see in all our products, JG SWITZER founder and CEO, Jessica, pioneered a process we call Painting With Wool. We play with nature’s palette of plant-dyed, undyed, and 20+ types of raw fleeces to create a new form from an old material. As all painters do, we start with a canvas. Ours is made from locally farmed Dorset and Suffolk wool from Bodega Bay. Our painter’s palette is provided by local and Heritage breed sheep. From these sheep, we get a wide variety of colors and textures that acts as our “paint”. THE FUTURE IS MADE BY HAND. All SHOP SHEEP products are designed and made by hand at our workshop.
