About Everly's Bows and Things

As a little girl who grew up on a small farm in Southwest Washington, family values were something ingrained in me. Growing up my mother has always been the epitome of a perfect homemaker. I know it sounds cliché, but ever since my childhood I have always wanted to be everything my mom was. She raised me on values that a lot of people might consider old school, but one that has stuck with me since forever, has been that when something is broken, we fix it. As a child, there wasn’t much I could do around the house, but she made sure I knew how to sew at a young age even buying me my very own sewing machine at the age of 12. Although at the time, I was more concerned with keeping up with my 3 brothers doing outside farm things; So while I knew the basic concept of sewing, I never really did anything with the knowledge…until I became the Mamma to Miss Everly Michelle in June of 2019. We had just bought our first house and were looking for ways to save a little on the piling baby expenses. So I decided to act like my mother before be and start sewing my own baby clothes. With the little knowledge of sewing I had still tucked away in my brain, and a few refresher courses with my mom, I quickly became obsessed with the fulfilling feeling of providing my Everly with handmade things.Read their story
