About Bounty from the Box

Mi Ae Lipe grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. A self-taught illustrator, she was living in Wisconsin when an organic vegetable farmer named Jack Hedin saw her artwork in a Minnesota coffee shop and approached her to design his logo. Back then, Jack was a struggling farmer, so he offered Mi Ae a weekly CSA box as partial payment. Mi Ae was also a book editor/designer, and soon the idea for a cookbook that could help people figure out what to do with their CSA produce was born.Read their story
