About Summerfield Candles

Summerfield Candles was started in 1982 in California. Our founder, Salinda Milicevich, had a vision of making candles that were natural, safe to burn and beautiful. She started making 100% beeswax candles in her bedroom and the business grew from there. Her husband, Mitch, soon joined her in the business, and later on their three children also became expert candle makers. In 2024 the Milicevichs decided to retire from the candlemaking business, at which point the Ehlers family purchased the business and moved it to Idaho's Treasure Valley. We remain a family-owned business. Our candles are made with 100% beeswax. Each candle is twisted or rolled by hand in our small workshop. They have been enjoyed in homes throughout the country for over 40 years and we are excited to continue the tradition of providing exquisite candles to bring joy and a little bit of magic to both special occasions and the everyday.Read their story
