Ackroyd's Bakery is a woman-owned 3rd generation small business. Operating out of metro Detroit since 1949, we have grown from a local butcher shop to a national niche bakery, shipping our food to all 50 states. Now, 70+ years later, we are focused on creating a space offering high quality baked goods to customers and an inclusive, welcoming workplace for employees. We now offer our incredibly popular, rich, butter-forward shortbread, as well as our Irish Soda Bread and Fruit Cake (seasonally), to retailers. We hope you include your shop as one of them! Products within 4 months out of date when received. Not enough time to sell when you have to order large quantities. Contacted them but wouldn’t respond. Took my money and now I have out of date products can’t sell. I have found this to be the case with people who sell food. Trying to get rid of expiring food first.
