Mood Indigo comes to you from the Davidson-based studio of Réa Wright. Réa is a Psychotherapist by day, and an avid Soap-maker by night! Her handcrafted apothecary products are created with the highest quality, consciously-sourced oils, butters, clays, botanicals, and premium essential oils. Mood Indigo’s core values embrace the healthiest plant-based ingredients, luxurious mind-body self-care, and a deep commitment to environmental sustainability. Mood Indigo was birthed out of necessity when Réa's 5-year-old daughter was diagnosed with asthma and severe allergies. In the chaotic and overwhelming weeks and months that followed, she spent hours searching the web for information trying to make sense of it all. The results were shocking and confusing and pointed to the toxic chemicals in our bath and body-care products. She says, "I became increasingly interested in the science of soap-making and the healing power of essential oils. As I experimented with textures and scents, I made a real effort to create products that had an impact on both the body and mind. Through Mood Indigo I have the distinct privilege of sharing all that I have learned on this journey to healthy, sustainable living." A portion of all Mood Indigo profits is donated to Davidson’s Ada Jenkins Center and to the national nonprofit One Tree Planted.
