About Cooper's Small Batch Hot Sauce

Cooper's Small Batch began with a simple idea at a time when husband and wife team, John and Michelle Davidson owned a restaurant in Denver, CO called The Crushery. The Crushery was a fast-casual dining experience serving homemade bagels, panini's & salads. Both felt there was a missing ingredient that would pair well their the food, and that was hot sauce. Instead of buying the commercial brands, John, being a chef chose to make the hot sauce in-house that would pair well and compliment his food. Cooper's Small Batch is named after their son, Cooper, and as a hobby, Michelle sold the hot sauce during summer farmer's markets to save for their childeren's college fund. The Brand fizzled away when the restaurant sold in 2012. It wasn't until 2017 when Michelle sat down with John and presented a business proposal, one where they'd rebrand Cooper's Small Batch and sell to retail stores. John thought it was a crazy business proposition and not sure the business would succeed; despite that, they where all in. For the next year, they spent time on market research, planning, and development.
