About Robba Design

Daniele Robbiati, aka Robba, was born in Milan in 1992. Artist and Designer, whose creativity draws inspiration from different family traditions; glass processing and of the metal. Thus, he undertakes a artistic experimentation path, using iron sheets as canvases. It exploits the corrosive power on these of rust, which becomes its figure stylistics, playing and drawing with its nuances. Subsequently the “canvas” is “crystallized” and framed in the glass. Isolating the work from the environment external, it manages both to block the process of erosion, which would take away from the canvas the its subject, both to give it elegance and shine, enhancing its materiality and the contrasts. Thanks to this technique it can transform works into design elements such as tables, doors and sculptures, exploring functionality unknown to art.Read their story
