Our journey began more than two decades ago when the late Dr. Jón Bragi Bjarnason discovered the beneficial properties of marine enzymes through his research into wound healing. Dr. Jón Bragi was a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Iceland and a globally renowned enzymologist who dedicated his life to the study and therapeutic application of marine enzymes, achieving numerous awards as well as global patents for his discoveries. Impressed by clinical evidence of the effectiveness of marine enzymes, Dr. Jón Bragi later applied their therapeutic properties to skincare.
