About Persika Design Co.

Hi! I’m Christina, a Midwest-born and raised artist, muralist, designer and teacher of many-a-workshop. I started Persika Design Co. in the winter of 2016 on a hope and a wish, working out of my living room on nights and weekends. Through a wild ride of twists and turns I find myself, nearly a decade later, in my dream studio in Milwaukee, WI still doing the work I love. I work primarily in watercolor, gouache, acrylic and digitally. My work centers around spirituality, femininity, nature, joy, and craft. I am inspired by my Midwestern roots, my Scandinavian heritage (persika is Swedish for peach), folk art, and art history. Find me at a museum in the Modernism wing! And oh man, if there’s an exhibition on creative mystics I will drop everything and fly across the country. *cough Hilma af Klint at the Guggenheim in 2018 had me in a chokehold. I have an intense special interest/passion for interior design and creating artwork for beautiful, lived in, eclectic and cozy spaces. It makes me so happy to have my work in shops that help curate such a beautiful life for their customers while also, and most importantly, becoming the fixtures of neighborhoods and communities.
