Olim Clay Co. jewelry is rooted in the natural world and designed for every adventure. Each piece is handcrafted with custom colors, textures, and shapes to inspire a conversation, remind you of a favorite vacation, or bring a bit of the outdoors in. Combining polymer clay with high-quality metals such as titanium, argentium silver, and 14K gold-fill means my jewelry and accessories are not only long-lasting but also lightweight, tarnish-resistant, waterproof, and hypoallergenic. My passion for exploring and experimenting with new processes allows me to create work in a low-waste, small-batch, simplified way and develop easy-to-wear pieces that are made with meaning. I begin every design by blending primary color blocks of polymer clay to create custom nature-inspired colors such as Olive Leaf, Sand Dune, Midnight, and Red Rock. I use different techniques such as marbling, mokume gane, and cane work to introduce patterns mimicking striations in stones, marks on birch trees, or undulating waves. I add texture with materials such as sandpaper, real leaves, or paintbrushes. The raw clay is then cured in the oven until hardened, sanded and buffed until smooth, and assembled into earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and barrettes.
