I've always believed people deserve more than a passing glance -- they deserve to be seen. My name is Deidra McNish-Brown. I'm a nurse, an artist, and the founder of D's Delights. I got the idea to start making jewelry at 2 am during a Labor & Delivery shift in 2020. I was working two jobs and pouring everything into caring for others. In a quiet moment, the idea hit me: make jewelry that helps people feel seen for all of who they are, not just the role they play. I'm a first-generation Jamaican-American raised in Brooklyn, shaped by summers in Jamaica, surrounded by color, music, and expression that didn't need permission. That mix of culture, strength, and softness lives in every piece. I combine semiprecious gemstone beads and African recycled glass to create bold, layered designs. I don't chase trends.
