About Temper Toy

Temper Toy is a fun way to be calm, specifically designed for kids with ADHD. Kids with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can use tools to help improve concentration at home, school and while playing with friends. According to the Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC), ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder and has three core symptoms: the inability to regulate attention, the inability to regulate activity, and difficulty with inhibitory behaviour resulting in impulsivity. At Temper Toy, our core focus is to help provide kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD tools to regulate emotions and gain confidence. These tools include balls, poppers, sand, beanbags, and fidget toys. Each of our products have been tested and used with great success. By design, we have a limited number of products available at one time. Our inaugural Temper Toy ball brings the idea to life from the mind of Elliott, a 9-year old boy from Toronto, Ontario who inspired this company and is the owner and co-CEO. Elliott, who has ADHD, walked into our house and was playing with a squishy ball he made at school. I was in the kitchen and saw this and asked, “What do you have there, buddy?” He stated, “Oh, it’s my Temper Toy. I use it when I need to be calm.” Somewhere along his way he found a tool that calibrated himself in situations that otherwise would’ve been heading in the wrong direction.
