About Preserving My Sanity Goat Milk Soap

I started Preserving My Sanity in 2018 as a lifestyle blog focused on food preservation and cooking, primarily with foods grown or sourced locally. An ongoing message to my readers when sharing about various projects has always been that the best way to learn something new is to give it a try. So, with that in mind, I learned how to make goat milk soap in 2022! I make all of my artisan goat milk soaps in my Minnesota kitchen using locally sourced goat milk and carefully sourced other ingredients. Each bar of my soap contains about 1 ounce of goat milk. I source my goat milk from local farmers whenever possible, including stocking the freezer in the fall before the goats take a winter break. From the food we eat to the products we use, it’s just really important to know the source as much as possible. All of the fragrances I use are free from parabens and phthalates, and the palm oil I use is sustainably sourced. I believe that everyone has a right to know exactly what they are putting on their skin, and I don't make or sell anything that I don't use on my own very sensitive skin. I am a proud member of the Minnesota Grown organization due to my dedication to supporting local farmers, and I am a certified soapmaker and member of the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetics Guild.
