Hi! We're Kelly Broderick Lamie + Megan Broderick; sisters who grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and both headed south to play D-I college soccer. As lifelong competitive athletes, health and wellness have always been an important part of our lives. But, like so many others, we did not pay as much attention to the beverages we were consuming compared to the food we were using to fuel our bodies. In 2017, Kelly became a first-time mom, and experienced post-partum anxiety, depression, and severe hormonal imbalance. After struggling for nearly a year without improvement, despite working with her doctors, she finally saw a functional practitioner who incorporated adaptogens into her wellness routine. She saw huge gains but as a traveling working mom found it difficult to maintain this wellness routine. During a work trip in 2019, she stopped at a gas station for a cold brew coffee to mix her adaptogens into but struggled to find one that wasn't full of sugar, dairy or too much caffeine; all the sneaky things contributing to chronic health issue in the US. In that moment, she knew she needed to solve both problems and provide a clean cold brew coffee infused with adaptogens. She teamed up with her older sister to bring a|dash from her kitchen to our communities. a|dash is a sister-founded and operated authentic beverage wellness company that is intentionally designed to be different.
