Gimme! Coffee is an established specialty coffee roaster that is redefining mutual benefit as a living wage employer and employee-owned business. Our origins trace back to 2000, when the third wave of specialty coffee was new and unexplored. Focusing on high-quality, world-class neighborhood coffee in the Finger Lakes and New York City markets, Gimme! Coffee was labeled the “ultimate no-nonsense espresso bar” and won the praise of food publications and customers alike. Our roasting operation in Ithaca, NY is one of the first to pioneer the direct trade, relationship coffee model, which earned us the prestigious Roaster of the Year Award in 2013, along with multiple Good Food Awards. In 2022, Gimme! employees purchased the business from its founder, cementing our history as one of the largest coffee cooperatives in the United States.Read their story
