In 1929, an Italian immigrant named Rose Biggi began Beaverton Foods by bottling horseradish in the cellar of her Beaverton, Oregon farmhouse to support her family through the Great Depression. Since those humble beginnings, Beaverton Foods has set itself apart and become America’s favorite specialty condiment company, with more than 80 products across 5 major brands, and winning over 150 awards. From developing America’s first bottled Cream Style Horseradish in 1951 and Honey Mustard in 1972, to pioneering modern favorites like Ghost Pepper Mustard, Cranberry Mustard, and even Applewood Smoked Bacon Mustard, Beaverton Foods creates innovative, unique, and delicious condiments — pushing flavor boundaries and introducing new classics. Now in its 95th year, the Biggi Family continues to innovate and expand the company’s product line. Beaverton Foods is now the largest distributor of specialty condiments in the United States. Two generations at Beaverton Food have been inducted into the Specialty Food Association’s Hall of Fame, and the National Mustard Museum has recognized 7 Beaverton Foods mustards across 3 brands.
