Founders Mike and Dan launched Peppersmith in 2010. Discovering plant based sweetener Xylitol and the best mint from a little farm in Hampshire, they cracked the code on how to make something tasty AND good for you. Not only are they good for your teeth but Peppersmith is vegan-friendly, sugar-free, vegetarian, gluten-free, GMO-free, free from palm oil and nut-free. Oh, and guilt-free! Because they contain Xylitol, with a whopping 40% fewer calories than sugar, they’re great for anyone with wobbly blood sugars too. We also use FSC-approved, recyclable card, which is better for the planet. In short, we're always striving to do better, one mint at a time! The science bit: Xylitol inhibits bacterial growth, kills existing bacteria by as much as 90%, prevents acid attacks and makes plaque easier to remove. Instead of breaking down your enamel like most sugars, Xylitol does the opposite. Pretty cool stuff, right?! Dentists love us... (even if we do say so ourselves!)
