About I AM NIEN

I have always been creavite for as long as I remember. When I was young, my mom asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, to which I answered "someone who draws". I studied Fashion Design at the Art academy in Utrecht (HKU). I enjoyed my time there but decided if I pursued a career in fashion, I wouldn't be creating art I was truly passionate about. So in 2013, I made the best decision of my life: I decided to focus on bringing te dreamy wolds in my head to life on paper. Now, I only dress the girls I paint. I get to design the most beautiful fabrics and lace for them to wear. When I'm not painting my girls, I'm creating the happiest animal illustrations in silly situations.. My inspiration comes from my own life experiences, loved ones and everyday surroundings. And when I want a fresh perspective, I escape to new places around the world and enter into my 'painting bubble', where all I do is explore and create. I can't imagine a better way to spend my time. In my company, I use sustainable materials where possible and always keep looking for other options where there is room for improvement.Read their story
