My name is Donia Gassi - I am the owner and manufacturer of Marley Sophia Body care and my mission is to provide clean and natural body care for everyone in your family. I started the company while I was pregnant with my daughter, Marley. I have an extensive background in herbs and vitamins but I didn't have much information on skin care. One day I came across a study that was done on chemicals found in the umbilical cord of a newborn baby. Reading that there are an average of 200 chemicals found, I was shocked and saddened by that information and knew I had to make a change for my growing family. I started to research what was in the products that I was using and was frightened by what I discovered - ingredients linked to different types of cancers, brain disorders, endocrine disruptors and more. The more research I was doing, the more invested I became in creating my business. Finding out that the United States have banned 15 chemicals and other countries, like Europe, are banning 1,000 is proof that they are not good for our bodies! Even though they were "natural" products they still weren't clean. I stand by my ingredients and know that they are as pure as they come. That brings us to where we are today.
