We use our quirks to create unique art! Welcome to Scaredy Bones a woman-run business, for brightly coloured, quirky, handmade illustrated gifts. First of all allow me to introduce myself, my name is Gina Shord, a chick from Cornwall with brightly coloured hair who now finds herself living in London. I have worked freelance as an Illustrator since 2015 after studying a degree in Illustration at Falmouth University where I fell in love with Illustration. Ever since I can remember I've had a massive interest in tattoo culture, alternative subjects and female character focused art which is where I get a lot of my inspiration from for my illustrations. I love developing alternative products, and Scaredy Bones allows me to indulge in both product design & illustration. I also find mental health and self-care extremely important making the home your safe space has never been more important. I had been sitting on the idea of Scaredy Bones for quite some time when in 2018 I took the plunge. I wanted a name which was odd but lovable. Related to me, embraced my quirks and insecurities. Which lead me to Scaredy Bones. My goal is to embrace the strange, be as eco friendly as possible, bring a smile to peoples faces with quirky illustrated gifts and to bring more colour into this world.
