Esme is named after our founder's 93-year old grandmother who only wears natural materials, has always practiced sustainable living, and has always beat to her own drum. From her aesthetic to her values, her name is woven throughout the company. Our founder Katherine started the company because she suffered from chronic yeast infections and couldn't find cute breathable underwear. After having worked in the fashion industry for many years and following material innovation research closely, she began partnering with a seaweed supplier to create underwear that would prevent infections and actually be good for your skin. After over 1 year of product development, Esme launched in October of 2022 and was featured in Vogue just four months after launching.Read their story
