About Brave Soles
Good Fashion should feel good. Brave Soles are beautiful, hand crafted shoes with upcycled tire soles. Our accessories line also contains all elements of upcycled goodness, from upcycled leather plane seats to motorbike inner tube accents. We are indigenous women owned, ethically produced, and globally inspired. We believe in the power of sustainable fashion to build a future we can all enjoy, together. Our founder, Christal Duncan, has worked with landfill workers in the Dominican Republic and around the world since 2005. It was here that the inspiration came for our brand. The tires for the soles of our shoes are reclaimed from landfills and dumping grounds and are given new life through our sustainable processes. Our products are handmade in the Dominican Republic, where we partner with local artisans and suppliers using small scale production and local employment.
