During her extensive work travel, she identified the absence of high-quality African-produced merchandise, particularly artisan products and locally owned clothing manufacturers with untapped scaling potential, which became the catalyst for launching In Our Name in 2021. Through mentorship and upskilling programs, Liza and In Our Name have provided sustainable incomes for a community of makers, offering them access to the global market. Under our 100% Initiative, we finance, provide tooling and training on quality, and contribute to capacity building by giving back 100% of our net profits from artisan products. In February 2023, Liza launched MWALI, a period poverty initiative, to support women and girls unable to afford menstrual hygiene products.
