About Slowing Ethical Closet

Hi, I'm Tatiana, and this journey begins with my fascination for India and for one particular Indian art, block printing! An ancient hand printing technique, where wooden blocks are engraved by hand and used as a stamp for printing. Slowing Ethical Closet is a slow fashion brand with a gender-neutral concept. I select the fabrics regarding their ecological footprint, and then they're hand-printed with this beautiful technique. I believe in a better world where ethics can thrive and prevail, and I knew I wanted sustainability to be more than a sales argument when I found the brand. It is the genesis of our products and the result of several collective efforts. Everything is handmade under fair trade principles, and instead of chemical dyes, we use biodegradable ones. We also turn leftover fabrics into new pieces, and even our labels are made of seed paper, so you can plant and turn them into flowers! I have made many efforts to honor this commitment to nature and the artisans who bring our pieces to life. It's not always the easiest path, but it's the most gratifying one. We have an online shop, slowing.shop, and we're collaborating on events and concept stores across Europe that align with our concept.
