About Desert Analog

Desert Analog was born when I found my love for film photography while living in the red rock desert of southeastern Utah. I am a desert field botanist and all around science lover by trade so my photography is aimed at capturing the beauty of nature and all of it's intricacies, on a micro and macro level. My goal is to share my images and knowledge about each mesmerizing desert landscape that I become acquainted with, while focusing on small scale 'made to order' production and sustainable practices. Desert Analog has never been about capturing perfection, you'll find light leaks, film scratches and the road less traveled through my work. It has always been about capturing that lonesome yet invigorating feeling of exploring the harshest of landscapes. Read their story
