Our journey into botanical perfumery began with a personal revelation (Katell) as my own sensitivities and discomfort became impossible to ignore after a decade of moving here from France. I began paying closer attention to how my body responded to different products and the ingredients used in them. I found myself at a crossroads—still drawn to the luxury of beauty routines and specifically in this context of fine fragrance, yet needing to mindfully care for my body. This tension sparked a vision: a perfumery that honors both indulgence and well-being. I wanted to create a space where our daily ritual of scent becomes an act of self-care that feels genuinely luxurious—where natural fragrances stand as true expressions of sophistication rather than compromises. The limited options for people like me who love fine fragrances but need something more mindful turned into a call to action with my husband Jon to create natural scents that truly reflect the diverse tastes of fragrance lovers - sophisticated, complex, and beautiful, without the irritants. Although Flairée’s perfumery was born from personal necessity, it is shaped by a universal truth—that caring for ourselves should feel like an indulgence, not a sacrifice... because to be of good fragrance goes beyond smelling good.
