About Stonehouse Pottery
Stonehouse Pottery is a small stoneware pottery studio located on a farm just south of Wooster, Ohio. Emily Mariola makes all products by hand, with the help of dear friends Ruth (packing and shipping), LeAnn (in the clay studio), and Dee (all things IT/website related). This is truly a small studio which means we get to pay attention to detail, create new products when we find inspiration, and continually refine our products. We create functional pottery for your home, garden and Christmas tree. We love making food worthy pieces for daily cooking in a real-life kitchen (think place settings, bowls in all sizes, serving pieces, decorative platters and pitchers), mugs are my favor item to throw and we always enjoy making specialty pieces for the holidays (halloween and christmas especially). We hope you find something here that brings you joy and gets lots of daily use!

Products are lovely and well made. However, our order was listed as not yet shipped at the time it was supposed to be arriving. When we reached out to the company, we did not hear back. It looks like our order was shipped a couple days later. Not a huge deal and I understand handmade product takes time, but it was a large customer order for a holiday party, and we almost missed the deadline due to the unanticipated delay.

The items are visually stunning due to the size with a good heft to the item, giving it a quality feel. They are darker in person, with more of a grey look, and are a little speckled, which gives them an earthy, lovely quality. The only issue was the packaging -- two of the items arrived broken (out of 24 so not bad odds!) However, I am surprised not more were broken because the packaging was not fantastic. Also, both were broken in the same place so it might be a weak spot in the design.
