I started YSM Designs back in 2010, and fifteen years later, I'm still at my workbench designing every single piece myself. Here's how it started: I'd just become a mom, my husband traveled constantly for work, and I made the choice to stay home with my daughter. During her naps and after bedtime, I taught myself how to make jewelry. I wasn't trying to build a business — I just loved it. On a whim, I listed a few pieces on Etsy, and they sold within weeks. That was it. I was hooked, and I never stopped. 15 years in, I've designed over 350 unique pieces, and I still hand-make every one of them myself, in small batches, the same way I did at the very start. Nothing is mass-produced, nothing is outsourced to a factory floor, and nothing looks like what's already sitting in a big-box display case. That's the whole point: I want your customers to find something in your store they genuinely can't get anywhere else. Along the way, I've learned that jewelry isn't just an accessory, it's how women mark the moments that matter. I've made pieces for brides walking down the aisle, for women celebrating a big win, and for people honoring someone they've lost.
