The origin of PasTEX (päs-teks - like Pasta!) can be traced back to my childhood living room. I have always enjoyed building stuff. My favorite toys growing up were Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, Erector Sets, etc...; anything related to building. Often times it was just as much fun building with everyday household items. My favorite by far was spaghetti. I would use marshmallows, glue, or tape to connect the pieces. I could spend hours each day building spaghetti bridges, towers, and other creations. Now that I've grown, I've been able to share this wonderful pastime with my own children. After seeing how much they also loved building with spaghetti I decided to create my own small, snap-on, connector that would help builders create bigger and better spaghetti models. I was fortunate to have an engineering background so I was able to do all of the product design myself. After a couple of years developing and testing various prototypes, I finally created PasTEX - a perfect spaghetti connector that can be bent, twisted, stacked, and grouped together to create almost any spaghetti connection you can imagine. PasTEX Connectorz are simple enough for younger children to easily attach with their little fingers but also versatile enough for older builders to create extraordinary structures.
