Salt Handcrafted began as a passion project by founder Lindsay Fried, inspired by the quiet beauty of the Lowcountry and the stories found along its shores. The name SALT stands for Sourced At Low Tide — the most meaningful moment to collect oyster shells, when the tide pulls back and reveals what the sea has left behind. It’s during these moments that Lindsay hand-collects each shell used in her designs, carefully selecting them from the shores of the Lowcountry. Every shell carries its own history, shaped by the water, the tides, and time itself. No two are ever the same, which is what makes each piece of Salt Handcrafted truly unique. Once collected, the shells are thoughtfully cleaned, preserved, and transformed by hand into coastal jewelry and décor that celebrate natural beauty and intentional craftsmanship.
