HI! I'm Alannah Monica! Thanks for stopping by to learn about me and my brand, Sew Cute Sock Monkeys! I started making 'Sew Cute' sock monkeys when I was 17, in the Yukon - Canada's True North! Over a decade later, I have branched out into other sock creatures and sewing DIY projects for kids and adults and run a crafting shop with my Mom in Whitehorse, Yukon, called the Mini Makerspace. My sock monkey crafting journey started when my sister gifted me a sock monkey kit to make my own. I had always wanted a sock monkey as a kid and although I was nearing adulthood, my sister knew I'd love it! I made an entire monkey from scratch and thought "I should learn to use a sewing machine to make this faster and start selling these cute monkeys instead of just greeting cards" Yeah, I used to make and sell greeting cards from the time I was about 13. I kept selling greeting cards and sock monkeys for many years. I even had a stamp collection of sock monkeys and accessories I could use for the branding of my new endeavour. My sock Monkeys and other sock animals and creatures aren't priced in a way to offer them wholesale, nor could I keep up with demand, but I am creating new variations of DIY kits of different sock monkeys and other animals to offer. I tend to come out with a new style every 3 to 4 months so check back with me for new kits!
