About Jean d'Aigle

Curious and in love with nature, she has always been for Jean Soutter an obvious source of inspiration. He grew up in the village of Aigle where, already very young, he makes herbaria that identify the forms, the scents and textures of the plants of his native Switzerland. Convinced that Nature and Man are complementary, he wants to create colognes that embody this alchemy. The Jean d'Aigle house was created in 1945 with Cologne Cyprus, a Mediterranean, exotic and alpine blend that reflects its very essence. Our Colognes have been made for more than 70 years using the same process and with respect for traditions. The birth of a fragrance is the result of know-how combined with the ritual gestures of those who make it. All our compositions are then mixed with water and alcohol and brewed in the old fashioned way, before being macerated for four weeks, a necessary rest period that allows the essences to fully diffuse.Read their story
