About Off The Grid Surplus

I started Off The Grid in 2012 because, after 20 years in the industry, I was tired of watering down my designs for the large brands I worked for. These brands would consistently remove key features that benefited the end user, to have a cheaper price point at retail. In 2018, I went full-time with Off The Grid so I could design the best gear for our core customer. Off The Grid for us isn’t just a saying or a place, but rather a state of mind. We believe off the grid means getting away, even for an afternoon or a weekend. Decompress from the day-to-day and enjoy the outdoors. We can all use a bit more of it, especially in this day and age. -Our Mission- To inspire greater connection through adventure. We do that by creating extremely functional and everyday wearable products for a great price to take you Off The Grid. How do we do that? We simplify your clothing options so that you only need one peice of clothing instead of 3 or 4. We combine the best features from outdoor, workwear and tactical into one everyday wearable package.
