About AMAC

Our design heritage was built firmly on the modernist principles of founder Gene Hurwitt. The first products he designed in 1960 demonstrate a total clarity of purpose and function using plastics which at that time were a new technology. Created in the bohemian enclave of Sausalito, California, AMAC boxes caught on in a big way, joining the permanent collection of New York's MoMA in 1966. Our story began with a simple idea: functional items can be beautiful. For decades, we've crafted high-quality, precision-molded plastic boxes and containers. They're not just for packaging and storage; they're essential tools for showcasing, organizing, and protecting products – for product manufacturers and retailers alike. AMAC stands for enduring quality and timeless design. Our meticulous craftsmanship ensures durable, reliable, and aesthetically pleasing products.
