When people see my shop sign, "Mardy Bum Active Club," reactions range from smiles and curiosity about the name to chuckles over the "bum" part, with some recognizing it as an Arctic Monkeys song reference. However, the name actually honors my late dad from Leeds, reflecting our family's playful term for snapping out of a grump. It embodies the uplifting and empowering spirit of my brand. I designed our logo with three elements representing mind, body, and their harmony—emphasizing the importance of mental and physical wellness. Our clothing aims to inspire a holistic approach to health and happiness, enhancing well-being through physical activity. We source products responsibly, using local manufacturers in the UK, we source fabrics that have recycled yarns and use small production runs. We want to grow sustainably and create beautiful products that have a limited affect on the world around us and support the people who are involved making them. I'm proud that Mardy Bum Active Club boosts spirits and encourages an active lifestyle.
