Born in Porto, Portugal. Maria Girão, the founder, started designing the first Elegend collection during the pandemic, when she was confined at home. Sitting in her bedroom's desk, new ideas started to bloom. Intuitively, she took a paper and a pencil and initiated her first drawings. The first collection named as "Watercolor" was inspired in the ocean and nature. Earth & water colors, patterns,but also the material the pieces are made from : recycled fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles and deadstock fabrics. E Legend - Ethical Legend - is a 100% sustainable Portuguese brand that reuses “deadstock” fabrics leftovers from old collections at local factories. Those fabrics are rescued and gain another life. Living E Legend brand is taking a moment to breath, to travel back to the past and learn from the wiser and older generations their art of handcrafting with love and time. The founder wanted to bring those principles back and thus inspire the current generations to consume less and better. It is an old-school brand of multiuse scarves, bucket hats, tote bags for men & women, designed and produced in Portugal. An online boutique with exclusive designs and limited editions that was designed to inspire people to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
