About Nuevemi

It all started as a game between threads and seams in my grandmother's workshop, when I was just a girl. I soon felt that this would end up being my great passion. A few years later, Nuevemí was born, which began as a place where you could play with fabrics creating pieces of clothing, to end up becoming a small brand of hair accessories. From my small studio in Barcelona, I design, cut and make each of the pieces, with the ingredients I like the most: personality, femininity, color, fun and a touch of vintage romance. Making the turbans and all the pieces I make last over time is one of my great goals. Therefore, each piece carries with it a cotton bag made and printed one by one by me, for better preservation and for it to last many, many years. I love getting lost among the small shops in the city or warehouses of stock debris, you never know where you can find a great little treasure. Every corner of Barcelona is an inspiration; every small shop where you buy the materials is quite an adventure, which leads me to imagine what the next piece will be like. Read their story
