About Ming Ong
Ming Ong is a Los Angeles artist and graphic designer. Her work often depicts scenarios of children, family and animals hearkening back to classic children’s books and advertising, that upon closer examination, reveal a darker side and a deeper hidden meaning. Her art is inspired by childhood memories of Southeast Asia and cultural observations as a Chinese immigrant growing up in Canada and the U.S. She has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows across California, and her work has been published in the New York Times and American Illustration. Through her art, she has crafted some unique stationery and home items to share her work with a broader audience.
