In 2017 I literally dreamed this - I had models walking in NYFW on the catwalk they were wearing NASA inspired swimwear, smoke was coming from the back of the runway as if a spaceship had just landed, Nicki Minaj song "Starships" was playing, & the smell of coconut oil lingered in the air. When I woke up, I knew I had to bring it to life. Fast forward to 2020, I did and after 4 years of research and development, Voglia Swimwear was born. I couldn't just launch any swimwear brand, it had to mean something greater. Voglia means 'wish' in Italian and my wish is for a cleaner, healthier, better world which starts by cleaning up our oceans, waterways, beaches and saving marine life. Our swimwear is made from Econyl (R) a regenerated nylon made from illegal/ghost fishing nets and other materials found in our oceans. Styles are named after men & women who inspire us for greatness and a percentage of sales goes towards The Role Foundation. Everything we do at the Voglia studios is on a sustainable cycle. You can't have a sustainable brand and not live the lifestyle. Our mission is to educate consumers on our fashion waste and introduce them to other sustainable brands and practices to help live a more eoc-friendly & sustainable life. Make a wish babe!
