Nicki Hoyne was founded in October 2020. It is a multi-award winning slow fashion footwear and handbag brand, made in Spain & Portugal. “I want people to celebrate and cherish fashion, not consume it and throw it away. My designs are fun, unique, high quality and built on a foundation of sustainability. I hope to one day become a fully sustainable brand.” I won “Best New Brand” at the Drapers Footwear Awards last year. This year, I was a finalist for Footwear Design Of The Year and Best Online Operation. The collection has also been nominated in the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards as “One To Watch” & Brand Of the year in 2023 & 2024. The collection has shipped to 28 countries and has been stocked internationally in London, New York & LA. It has appeared at the Brown Thomas CREATE, an Irish Design Pop Up 2024-2021. I was nominated in the prestigious Irish Image Businesswoman of The Year Awards 2024, 2023 & 2022. I won the Irish Design Institutes Rising Star 2021 and was runner up in the DCCI, Irish Business Design Challenge - Micro Business Category.
