About Komodo Sauces

In 1918, my great grandmother was a victim of human trafficking. She was lured onto a Dutch merchant vessel with little recollection of what happened and ultimately ended up in Suriname. Through it all, she eventually earned her freedom. With that, a portion of our heritage was preserved and handed down - from one generation to the next, Java to Atlanta, indentured servant to immigrant to US citizen. One of our favorites, passed down through the ages, is the recipe for these sweet and savory hot sauces, or sambal as it's called. In the past, the only way we could get our hands on the sauces would be if Grandma brought some in her carry-on from Suriname. We thought we'd make it a little easier for you, so we made a business out of the family recipe. Not only does our company provide great products that we are almost positive you'll love, but our business is also committed to fighting modern day slavery.
