About YAWN

YAWN is a collection of safe, non-toxic makeup and skincare products for kids and tweens. We believe in creating gentle, age-appropriate, and accessible products that build confidence, spark joy, and encourage self expression. YAWN was designed to serve as Gen Alpha’s introduction to the world of makeup, skincare, and personal care. (Millennials, think of YAWN as an updated take on the Lip Smackers, Wet n Wild, and Claire's body glitter you loved as a kid.) Founded by a Beauty Industry Veteran & Mom of Three YAWN founder Tara Tersigni has over a decade of experience in the beauty industry. Building brands is her thing—and she’s really good at it. She served as co-founder of Jones Road Beauty and also led a team of editors at Yahoo Beauty. She was inspired to start YAWN when her own Gen Alpha kids started showing an interest in her makeup bag. “Kids wanting to play with makeup is nothing new—I did it as a kid in the 90s, the only difference being I wasn’t broadcasting my experiments with body glitter on the internet,” says Tersigni. “Once my daughters got to the age where they wanted to play with makeup, I started looking for something that was more their speed.” Unable to find a brand that met her standards—safe formulas, gentle ingredients, thoughtful packaging— she set out to create a collection of makeup and skincare products that both kids and parents would love and YAWN was born.Read their story
