Brick+Mortar started as a source for vintage home goods and in 2017 we branched into hand poured candles through our jobs program with a women's shelter here in Atlanta (https://thisisbrickandmortar.com/pages/city-of-refuge). Each nostalgic scent is created to remind you of a slower time and to make your home a place of warmth and relaxation. All of our candles appeal to a wide demographic and can work seamlessly in many types of shops. Our candles are made from soy wax that is blended with essential and fragrance oils. We use lead free wicks that make for a clean and safe burning candle. With each candle we offer a special playlist created to make the experience of burning one of our candles more sensory (playlist info in each candle package). From our packaging, to our scents, to the playlists, our candles tell a story. All of the materials used in our production are bought in the US and all of the people who make our candles are paid a living wage. For our jobs program we come alongside women from City of Refuge and hire and teach them how to pour and package our candles which will hopefully be a stepping stone into self sufficiency. Now, when you purchase our candles you can know that your money is going towards helping someone transition out of crisis and providing someone with the dignity of work.
